Sam Crowther, Kasada co-founder and CTO accepted the award at the AusCERT 2017 gala dinner on 25 May 2017. The Best Security Initiative award acknowledges a developed solution that builds trust and confidence in the online environment.

“This is very exciting for us,” said Crowther. “Receiving this accolade is testament to the strength of our roadmap, our commitment to innovation and our ability to address new security threats.

“We thank our customers and partners for trusting and supporting us.”

“Personally, I applaud the Kasada team. When you recruit great people, put them in an inspiring environment and take on a vexing and insidious security problem, great things happen.

Crowther also acknowledged the role of security professional bodies and practitioners in promoting home-grown security solutions.

“Australia’s security eco-system is making a real difference in raising awareness of, and dealing with, cyber threats. They are also promoting the depth of talent in locally developed security products and services. That’s good news for all.”

Kasada Polyform challenges the paradigm that attacks are cheap to launch and expensive to defend.

Previous AusCERT Best Security Initiative winners include IDCARE, Let’s Encrypt, Rapid7.
